Could you briefly introduce your preschool and your role?
I'm Mira Slawinski, entrepreneur, teacher, and founder of two daycares, By the Sea and Tiny Wonders. By the Sea opened its doors in 2021, and ever since, we’ve been sailing through days filled with curiosity, laughter, and discovery. We welcome your little ones aboard our ship, where they can explore, play, and learn every day in a safe and nurturing environment.
Tiny Wonders opened its doors in August 2025 and offers children a warm community and space to blossom at their own pace, guided by caring educators passionate about early childhood development.
What made you start using Kindiedays?
Honestly… can’t remember a time we didn’t have Kindiedays…I don’t understand how we managed then, even though I've been doing this work for 35 years…
How has Kindiedays helped your daily work (e.g., planning, documenting, assessing, communicating with parents)?
Kindiedays is part of our everyday lives for teachers, parents, and me as a manager. It is the easiest and fastest way to communicate with all the parents. Our parents and educators are also very aware of climate change and related issues, so we try to minimize paper use.
Because we mainly operate in small groups, Kindiedays is actually our only way to follow the current ratio minute by minute. So this is also, for me, the most important tool for checking the ratio. My mornings begin by checking the ratio at both daycares. This is also an important safety factor. When we are in small groups, no one knows the total number of children, but Kindiedays provides everyone with accurate information.
How have parents responded to Kindiedays?
Has it changed the way you communicate or involve them in children’s learning? Parents love it! All of them only give feedback on how wonderful it is to follow their child’s learning! I think it has helped them understand our work and has helped us support and teach the children better together with the families! It unites us more than before!
Can you share a concrete example of how Kindiedays has made a difference for your team and parents?
Well, for example, because we work in shifts, it was sometimes hard to share information with parents (like what we did that morning), and we really had to wait until we saw them again. Now, they have already seen some pictures of the day, even before picking up their child. I would say that Kindiedays have really helped us keep parents updated and informed about daycare life!
What do you appreciate most about Kindiedays?
As the manager, this is clear: follow the children's ratios.
Would you recommend it to others?
If yes, why? Absolutely! As I said, after using it, you don’t understand how you managed before! The difference in the quality of the early education you can provide with Kindiedays' help is huge!
